FS 455: Medicolegal Death Investigation
This course introduces the hands-on science behind death investigation and forensic work.

In this class, you’ll learn how medicolegal death investigations work, from examining scenes in the field to procedures in the morgue. You’ll explore how investigators collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, and emergency services while learning key medical terminology, common medications, and emergency medical procedures.

This course also covers evidence collection, photography, interviewing at a scene, fingerprinting, and understanding decomposition - giving you a real-world look at how science and investigation come together.
