    NUR 200: Intro to Nursing Concepts
    Discover what it really means to be a nurse and make a difference in people’s lives!


    Students will explore the science and art of nursing, including its history, professional roles, ethics, and standards of practice. The course introduces the nursing process, responsibilities, and expectations of professionalism in healthcare.

    Health and wellness, culture and diversity, and caring for people from different backgrounds are central themes, with special attention to native Hawaiian and Pacific Island communities and Marianist values that guide compassionate, patient-centered care.
